Frequently Ask Questions:
What is the absolute minimum thickness the jig will cut? I need to rip 1/4" strips
One of the two legs of the GRR-RIPPER is just under 1/4” so out of the box it is fully capable of cutting 1/4” thick strips. We also sell an accessory 1/8” leg that allows for cutting strips down to 1/8” thick. Just remember that in either case, when cutting thin strips you want to use a Zero Clearance Insert to insure that your thin strip will not fall into the opening for the blade or the riving knife opening.
How hard is it to level the jig when adjusting the side support?
Not hard. Just push the Gripper up against the fence and down on your piece. Then
loosen thumb screws and let support drop down to table.
Will this work with aluminum on a Tilting arbor saw?
Don't have any experience with aluminum, but if you can cut it without the micro jig, you can cut it with the jig and be safer
Will this hold a 2x4 in postion to split into 1x2?
The GRR-RIPPER is certainly capable of making this cut, but we will add a few cautions:
First, one GRR-RIPPER is recommended for ripping parts up to 18" long. For longer rips we recommend using two GRR-RIPPERs in a hand-over-hand method for maximum safety and control.
Second, 2x4s are very often not particularly straight and true like pre-milled lumber is. No board should ever be ripped on the table saw that does not have a straight edge to guide along the rip fence, so choose your stock carefully, or joint an edge before ripping. Running an uneven edge against the rip fence can cause the cut line to move during the rip, causing binding and very possibly kick back.

Are these made on the USA?

Essentially dispenses with kickback on table saws.
The GRR-RIPPER's one of a kind plan gives descending power, controlling the attendant and off cut workpiece. This keeps the workpiece from lifting up off the table top – practically wiping out kickback. Internal Pressure keeps the workpiece managing along the fence keeping it from getting the back rising teeth. This gives you a smoother, cleaner, and more secure cut. Work more secure.
Fantastic grasping force with Green-GRIP.
Green-GRIP is the exclusive non-slip material that gives you better holding control over workpieces and materials, for example, oak, cherry, pecan, coal black, pine, poplar, maple, plastics and aluminum. Stepped grooves give expanded footing on the workpiece even with sawdust. Effectively cleaned with denatured or scouring liquor. No other push square's grasp approaches.
Three headings of power gives you predominant accuracy, control and security.
1. Descending Virtually disposes of kickback.
2. Internal Keeps stock solidly against the fence .
4.Forward Controls and feeds the two sides of the stock for cleaner cuts.
Adaptability – table saws, bandsaws, switch tables, jointers, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
For legitimate and safe face jointing, you need procedure, and solid substantial holding power. Fortify your activity with our Green-GRIP non-slip material.
From the above discussion I think Quick and Easy Fix For Your GRR-RIPPER 3D PUSHBLOCK is most important for your accurate & clean cutting . Especially those who are the newbie or want to start new business they should buy this at the time of buying the band saw.
