Top 5 cheap best Miter saw Reviews

Hello readers I am gonna discussed in this article Top 5 cheap best Miter saw Reviews but before discussion this I think everybody should know about the primary idea for this romantic saw.

What is Miter saw?

A power miter saw, also known as a drop saw, is a power tool used to make a quick, accurate crosscut in a work piece at a selected angle. Commonly used for cutting of molding and trim. Most miter saws are relatively small and portable, with common blade sizes ranging from eight to twelve inches.[1]

The power miter saw was invented by Ed Niehaus, a tool designer for Rockwell, in 1964. The miter saw showcased several innovations still found today: radial arc spring action, blade braking and dust collection. Rockwell did not patent the design, leading to a large number of manufacturers and innovation improvements.[2]

The power miter saw makes cuts by pulling a spinning circular saw blade down onto a work piece in a short, controlled motion. The work piece is typically held against a fence, which provides a precise cutting angle between the plane of the blade and the plane of the longest work piece edge. In standard position, this angle is fixed at 90°.

A primary distinguishing feature of the miter saw is the miter index that allows the angle of the blade to be changed relative to the fence.[3]While most miter saws enable precise one-degree incremental changes to the miter index, many also provide "stops" that allow the miter index to be quickly set to common angles (such as 15°, 22.5°, 30°, and 45°).

DEWALT Sliding Compound Miter Saw Reviews

Cheap miter saw

DEWALT Sliding Compound Miter Saw

  • DEWALT Sliding Compound Miter Saw is powerful 15 amp, 3, 800 RPM motor delivers extended power and durability so it is one of the best saw in the market.
  • This model has exclusive back fence design cuts up to 2x16 dimensional lumbers at 90° and 2x12 at 45° which is very user friendly.
  • It has super efficient dust collection system captures over 75 percent of dust generated which is very helpful for clean cutting.
  • This manufacturer Backed 3 year limited warranty for the customer satisfaction.
  • This miter saw maximum Cutting Thickness: 6.75 inch which one of the best in the market.
  • Included Components- 1) Miter saw, 1) Carbide Blade, 1) Blade Wrench, 1) User guide.

The good things:

  • Great saw great price.
  • It works great.
  • Good that it set up easily and surprisingly needed NO adjustment anywhere.
  • Precision cuts and unparalleled performance.
  • Awesome tool! Awesome price! This is the exact same tool as the highest quality one but without the laser guide.
  • INFINITE POWER! But seriously, this saw is a best.
  • Good value, good product.
  • It's really a great saw, very precise and simultaneously very powerful.
  • A fine machine, very versatile.
  • This thing cuts through wood like a hot knife in butter.

The bad things:

  • Only problem is that the housing underneath the kerf plate has an elevated part that causes the saw to bottom out if you don't use the depth stop.
  • Worked great but came with a broken plastic dust catcher tube.
  • This saw is exactly the same as the 780, but without the laser.
  • Great saw except for a long list of things, Two things that should have been quite apparent to anyone trying to actually use the saw.

-The first problem you will find is that the vacuum tube orifice where a vacuum apparatus would be hooked to was made the wrong size. Dewalt knows this and has a part, "adapter" you can purchase. "Part # DWV9000". But that part has been on back order since forever. I used duct tape.

-The second problem is really the one that made me write this review. At the other end of the vacuum "pipe" is the end near the saw blade itself. The rubber boot which is supposed to act as a funnel for refuse/sawdust is made of a very pliable rubber. So pliable that turning on a vacuum causes it to be sucked into the vacuum tube rendering it useless.

Frequently Ask Questions:

01. Question:
Is there an LED cut line?
No not on this model.

02. Question:
Does this miter saw come with a laser or any guiding system?
It does not come with any laser for guidance. You may find my answer a bit crude, I've been using miter saws for many years and the best guiding system I found to work is my/your eyes. Having lasers or no lasers you still need to use your eyes to get the work piece spot on near the cutoff point. Hope this helps!

03. Question:
What is the measurement from the bottom of the saw (top of the workbench) to the top of the cutting table of the saw?
It's actually 3-1/2" in height. You can use short pieces of dress 2 x 4 x 16" on edge to level a lengthy piece of lumber.

04. Question:
What are the dimensions installed?
18.8" H x 23.75" W x 33" D

05. Question:
Is a blade included?
Each auction is different. Mine was included. Check the details listed on each particular auction. There is a DWS 779 listed now for $349.99 that includes a carbide blade. Best deal you’re going to find.

Definitely a great saw at $350. Cuts really well and I can already tell a big difference from my last saw (Harbor Freight), which says a lot because I do not use my saw often.

It would be nice if the clamp stored somewhere on the saw like the wrench does, and because of how the lock on the shaft of the clamp is designed it can't even be locked down to the back of the saw, it must be in contact with the front of the saw. So when not in use or secured to the front of the saw it is just flopping around. I really do not find myself using the clamp that often anyway, but I would be more inclined if there was a cam system or something better than a threaded rod that made it easier to use.

DEWALT DWS779 12" Sliding compound Miter saw features a powerful 15 amp, 3, 800 RPM motor that delivers extended power and durability. It has a super efficient dust collection system that captures over 75 percent of dust generated. This miter saw also offers an exclusive back fence design which cuts up to 2x16 dimensional lumbers at 90° and 2x12 at 45°.

DWS779 12-Inch Double Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw

This model Includes the integrated CUTLINE Blade Positioning System that provides adjustment free cut line indication for better accuracy and visibility. Dual horizontal steel rails with innovative clamping mechanism and linear ball bearings deliver an accurate, durable and compact saw.

Increased capacity and precision

Exclusive back fence design cuts up to 2x16 dimensional lumber at 90° and 2x12 at 45°. The DWS780 miters 60° to the right and 50° to the left providing capacity for professional applications. Tall sliding fences support crown molding up to 7-1/2" nested and base molding up to 6-3/4" vertically against the fence while easily sliding out of the way for bevel cuts.
Finally we see the date first available of DEWALT Sliding Compound Miter Saw is April 26, 2016. From that time this 56 pounds, 2 x 23 x 18.5 inches, Silver corded-electric Miter saw is doing market leading business. So if you think it is the suitable for then you can buy it without wasting time.

WEN 70716 10-Inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw Reviews

Sliding miter saw

  • This item weighs in at a mere 30 pounds and is backed by a 2-year warranty.

The good things:

  • Considering the price, this is not a bad unit. Easy to set up and use. It took some time to get all the adjustments correct so that all cuts at 90 and 45 came out perfect.
  • Wonderful tool - no issues what so ever - and I have been using mine to cut everything from 2" x 6" to ripping 3/4 Plywood pieces.
  • For the price this is a pretty good saw.
  • This dual compound sliding miter saw is well worth the money. Lightweight easy to carry easy to set up and easy to use for multiple bevels.
  • Good quality budget compound miter saw.
  • Works great. Love the sliding blade for wider wood pieces. Excellent price, and arrived very quickly.
  • Very nice all very heavy duty love Wen products always reliable.

The bad things:

  • The bolt holding the blade in place did loosen at one point (after a day of heavy use).
  • No positive locks for 0,22 1/2, 45 degrees was kinda disappointing...but an accomplished wood worker can still do good things with this saw.
  • The blade loosens up way too easily and frequently. Never had a saw where this happened at all. Getting to the tightening screw and especially putting guard back in place is enormously difficult.

Frequently Ask Questions:

01. Question:
What size is the arbor?
5/8 Inch

02. Question:
What is the size of it's arbor? i want to use dewalt dw7296pt precision trim 12-inch 96 tooth atb crosscutting saw blade with 1-inch arbor
The blade you mentioned absolutely fits this saw...I have the same blade on mine when I'm doing finish work.

03. Question:

Does the 10-inch sliding compound saw (Model 70716) have preset detents? If so at what angles?
Left and right. 0-15-22.5-30-45. Hope that helps. The dust collector is horrible.

04. Question:
Will this cut a 4 x 4?

05. Question:

Has anyone else had the blade slipping?
Yes. All the time!

WEN 70716 10-Inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw has first arrival in the market July 23, 2014 its weight is 37.5 pounds, Dimensions 32 x 28 x 24 inches, corded-electric and its Latest Model in today’s market.

Remember when one saw provided all the versatility you'd ever need? The WEN 10-inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw allows for straight, miter, bevel and compound cuts all in one reliable and compact machine. Bevel anywhere from 0 to 45 degrees to the left and miter up to 52 degrees in both directions. With 15 amps of slicing power and 5500 RPM, you'll be able to easily tackle boards up to 3.25 inches thick.

The spacious work table provides room for boards up to 11.5 inches in depth to fit. Included is a 60-tooth carbide-tipped blade for dependable and precise sawing and a dust collection bag to minimize post-sawing clean up. Despite providing you all of these features and more, the WEN 10-inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw still weighs in at a mere 30 pounds.

This combined with the carrying handle makes transportation from workshop to the job site and back simpler than ever. The work table includes two support arms, a fence and a hold down clamp while the automatic blade cover retracts upon operation to minimize accidents and maximize safety. Miter, bevel, and compound cut all with one compact and lightweight saw. Remember when you only needed one saw for the job? Remember WEN.

You can't ask for a better saw for the price. It gets the job done, is durable and blade change out is not too bad if you know what you're doing. Saw won't be square unless you're lucky so check it with a speed square and make adjustment. Mine was not off much, maybe about 1/16 of a inch but hey in my experience no chop saw is perfect.

Anyway, it works great and I needed a cheap chop saw when I started my business and I tell you what...I have made a lot of money with this saw. It payed for itself and some the first time I used it. I still have and have used it a lot. About to upgrade to a 12" but I will keep this baby around as a backup for to send with other crews.

I will recommend getting the cheap Dwalt combo packs of 10" blades because it comes with a 32T general purpose and a 60T finish grade blade and the pack is cheap. The wen blade it comes with works fine but it wears out quickly....To recap...5 stars on price, 5 stars on durability, 4 starts on design, 4 stars on the blade it comes. Would recommend to anyone looking to outfit crews for minimal cost but reliable results as well as do it yourself home owners.

Frequently Ask Questions:

01. Question:
Where is this saw made? Asia/US/EU?
Made in China. Fit and finish is excellent.

02. Question:
What size is the blade arbor?
One inch

03. Question:
Was the saw shipped in just a box or was it on a pallet?
Saw was shipped in original manufacturers’ box heavy cardboard with plastic banding.

04. Question:

What is the distance from the fence to the back of the tool?
13 3/32 inches, 334 mm.

05. Question:
What is the arbor size for saw blades?
5/8” I think. All 12" saw blades fit it fine.

Sweet. This is absolutely the best Miter Saw on the market today. There is no deflection on the angle as you approach the limit of the cut, a problem common with the saws that extend on slides. The articulated arms also do not extend as far behind the saw as the slides do on other models so the saw can sit back further and not extend as far into the shop floor.

None of the miter saws on the market offer a high quality saw blade included in the original purchase - so when I say this comes with a medium quality blade that is all you will get with other brands too. Whatever you buy, if you are planning on smooth cuts and high quality results every time then budget for a blade upgrade - think Freud Industrial or equivalent.

Also, this saw is heavy so plan on a good stand that will support it and transport it easily. I passed on the matching Bosch gravity stand at $300 and got the Delta equivalent for $150. It is substantial enough to handle this saw on the job and transporting, and operates just like the Bosch.

The Bosch GCM12SD is a 12-Inch Dual-Bevel Glide Miter Saw that features a smooth cutting motion, accurate performance and a space-saving design of the Bosch-exclusive Axial-Glide System. Pre-aligned Square lock fences help the saw maintain precision throughout its life; a soft-grip ambidextrous handle along with a combination dust chute and vacuum adapter add to user comfort. The saw also offers a large cutting capacity, easy-to-read bevel and miter scales with detentes at common angles, and easy-access upfront controls.

Frequently Ask Questions:

01. Question:
Can this saw cut a 6 x 6
Yes it will. A 6x6 has real dimensions of 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 this saw has a cutting clearance of 6 3/8 inches.

03. Question:
Does it have a blade brake?
Yes it does.

04. Question:
How many teeth is the saw blade that comes included?
It's a much fine and nicer blade that came with my Milwaukee or Makita saws years ago. I wouldn't use it for finishing or anything detail oriented; I use a Diablo finishing balde and Trex blades for those purposes.

05. Question:
What is the distance from the back of the saw to the front mounting holes?
Hi, With the saw pushed all the way back, The wire passes the rail. That would make it 24in.

06.  Question:
How do you change the battery for laser?
There is no battery for the laser, it runs off of the 120v

Hitachi C12RSH2 15-Amp 12-Inch Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw has first available in the market May 31, 2016 which product dimensions 25 x 35 x 28 inches. This miter saw power Source is corded-electric & voltage 120 volts.

The new Hitachi C12RSH2 sliding dual compound miter saw is equipped with a compact slide system that requires zero rear clearance. The fixed rail system allows the saw head to smoothly glide along the fixed rails, eliminating the rear clearance that other sliding miter saws require. The compact slide system decreases the footprint of the saw by up to a foot saving you valuable real estate in any shop environment. The saw also features all new tall sliding fences that allow you to cut much larger material, while easily sliding out of the way when making bevel cuts. The easily adjustable tool-less laser marker allows even the most novice users to make perfectly accurate cuts. Includes 12" 60T TCT Saw Blade (726100), Vice Assembly (339624), 17mm Box Wrench (333732), Dust Bag.

The saw itself works great. However, when trying to adjust the bevel, the bolt locked up (on the second day of owning it) and when the user tried to loosen it the inside of the plastic handle stripped out and wouldn't grab the bolt. This is the second Hitachi miter saw that can be selected for any large wood working project.

Final Talk

From the above discussion it's true that every wood worker or the metal worker need to select his proper miter saw according his project or what type of materials he need to cut. But my recommendation to select all the saw or can select either one.
